Historic downtown Elizabethtown's Second Saturday events began September 15, with acitivities from 5:00-8:00 p.m. This new event, sponsored by the Elizabethtown Heritage Council, will take place every second Saturday, without exception. Locally owned downtown shops and restaurants, as well as The Historic State Theater, The Brown-Pusey House, and the Hardin County History Museum will be showcased. Events will vary from month to month. Each month will be different and all you need to do is walk into one of the downtown shops and pick up a program which maps out participating shops each month, and where they are located.
The Heritage Council is also looking for artists, crafters, and musicians for these events, or entrepreneurs who may want to open their shop in the downtown area. Call 270-982-2209 for more information.
