The unveiling of the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame is finally here, but regular daily operations remain three weeks away.
From the legendary “King” Kelly Coleman to Erin Boley, a 2015 Elizabethtown High School graduate, the hall of fame will recognize 100 inductees to celebrate 100 years of organized high school basketball.
Paul Najjar, chief operating officer, said events this weekend will provide a taste for what it has to offer.
All 100 honorees and their families have been invited to visit for the weekend and take part in preview tours of the hall and its exhibits. The renovated 19th century church building also will be open to the public for the first time.
To start things off, a ribbon-cutting is scheduled at noon Friday at the hall. Najjar said the community is welcome to attend.
