Historic Downtown Walking Tour

 Here every Thursday all summer long, The Historic Downtown Walking tour has begun and is free to the public! Experience the colorful history of Elizabethtown with fun loving characters of the past on a historic tour of our beloved downtown. After your walk, be sure to stop by Tavern in the Garden at the Brown-Pusey House for live music and a drink at the cash bar!

Lawn Party at the Bandstand

Come out to Freeman Lake for summer evenings full of live music, delicious food and fun times at the bandstand! Tune into country tunes and classic hits as there’s an impressive line-up of musicians from local favorites to out-of-town rock n’ rollers. Make sure to pull out your blankets and lawn chairs, and mark your calendars for June 21, July 12, and August 9 at 6PM!

Founder's Day Fireworks

Did you know Elizabethtown shares a birthday with our nation? Our Founder’s Day Fireworks over Etown is a summer event on July 4, you won’t want to miss! The soundtrack to the show is broadcasted over the local radio timed in rhythm with the display, so don’t worry about missing a thing. Parking at ECTC starts at 7pm, come out and join us!

Hardin County Fair

“It’s the most fun you can have with your shoes on!” What more needs to be said? The Hardin County Fair is a fun-filled week, this year July 10 – 15. With two days of rodeo, wrestling, monster trucks, pageants, a demolition derby, and a petting zoo, it’s safe to say the fair has something for everyone!

Cruisin' the Heartland

Since 2009, Cruisin’ the Heartland has been a hit with local Etownians and visitors. The event is split into two days and two locations. It kicks off the with the car show on July 28 at Freeman Lake with a free concert, games, food trucks, and music. At 8PM the evening of the 28, cars from the show cruise into downtown Etown to launch the next day’s event! The cruise-in on July 29  is a day full of family fun, giveaways, food trucks and time to admire all the cool cruisers in town!
