Elizabethtown Tourism & Convention Bureau (ETCB) is excited to announce its upcoming move to 201 North Main Street, in Downtown Elizabethtown. This relocation is part of a broader initiative to enhance visitor experiences, celebrate the city's rich history, and play a role in cultivating a downtown arts scene.
"We believe 201 North Main is a perfect fit for Elizabethtown Tourism,” said Janna Clark, Executive Director of ETCB. “By moving into this beautiful, storied space, we can better connect visitors with the history of Elizabethtown and offer a true gateway to the experiences that make our city unique.”
ETCB is purchasing 201 N. Main from the Elizabethtown Renaissance Associates (ERA), known for their previous work in revitalizing downtown buildings such as Impellizzeris, J.R. Neighbors and multiple other locations. Kevin Addington from ERA says, “We as ERA, Carl Swope, Ben Larue and myself, are honored that Tourism has chosen to make their new home in Downtown Elizabethtown. Our goal throughout the restoration of this beautiful structure was that it be enjoyed by everyone and what better way to experience that than through our tourism commission. Our town is rich in history and proud of its heritage. We welcome you and look forward to the great things you will add to our community.”
ETCB currently resides at 1030 N. Mulberry Street near Exit 94. In the 1990s when the visitor center was built, it was intended to operate as a small convention center to attract visitors to Elizabethtown through small meetings. The growth that has happened over the past 30 years has created the presence of many other meeting facilities that are able to meet that demand.
Future plans for 1030 N. Mulberry will be shared in the coming months. In accordance with the City of Elizabethtown’s process, proposals for the building will be accepted for review. More information will be available this spring.
“Elizabethtown’s downtown district is a hub of culture, history, and hospitality,” said Jeff Gregory, Mayor of Elizabethtown. “Having our tourism office in this setting strengthens our community’s commitment to preserving our past while embracing the future.”
