I don’t know about y’all, but to me, there is nothing better than hanging out with the girls! I mean, there’s community, there’s laughter and there is certainly fun. Elizabethtown, KY, is the perfect place to take your Galentine’s to the next level, and I am of course here to tell you how to do it.

The Food

Obviously, all the best conversations & debriefs happen over a meal, and Elizabethtown is where you’re going to find your new favorite spot to do this! If you’re looking for a classic “girl dinner,” head on over to Water’s Edge Winery - here, you’ll find wine and wine flights, of course, but they also have charcuterie boards for you and the girls so you can eat, drink and chat away! Such a fun way to kick start a Galentine’s celebration.

To me, nothing screams “girlhood” quite like brunch. Lucky for y’all, there are great brunch options right here in Elizabethtown! Every Sunday from 11am-2pm, you can head over to JR Neighbors for brunch, where you will find great food and even greater mimosas. I mean, what beats something bubbly with the girls?

Another fabulous brunch stop is the Toasted Yolk! They’ve got delicious options from shrimp & grits (my personal favorite) to donuts to calamari and everything in between. You really can’t go wrong with anything on this menu! Of course, no brunch is complete without a fun drink, and they’ve got you set here! You’ll find Bloody Mary’s, mimosas, cocktails and even mocktails so everyone in your crew is satisfied.

The Fun

Once you have adequately wined and dined, it’s time to get into some fun! Elizabethtown truly has something for everyone; the hardest decision will be choosing where to head first.

Downtown Elizabethtown is home to so many unique shops that make for the perfect shopping day. If one of your girls is a music lover like me, y’all must hit up New Style Records.  This spot has records, cassettes, CDs from classics to current hits and it is seriously so cool. As an added bonus, your book lovers can pop up the stairs into Birdwhistell Books! Here, you’ll find books of all kinds for every reader. And get this, they’ve got an entire section of Kentucky and Elizabethtown specific books – talk about a cool souvenir!

In addition to these spots, Downtown Etown is filled with boutiques and shops that are the perfect addition to your Galentine’s celebrations.

After you’ve shopped ‘til you dropped, it’s time to hit up Mud Puddle Pottery Co! Here, you can pick out a piece of pottery and they will provide you with the glazes to make your project your own. They've got seasonal pieces, vases, plates and so much more. These make great gifts and even greater pieces to keep for yourself! Mud Puddle is such a fun place to bring a group and will leave you planning the next trip before you’ve even finished your first project.

The Drinks

A fun drink and your best friends? Truly an ideal set up. Checking out the bars in Etown is the perfect nightcap to your Galentine’s festivities and there’s a vibe for truly anyone!

If you’re in the market for a cozy bar vibe where y’all can just perch and chat, you need to check out Revival Vintage Spirits and the Straight and Narrow! Revival is offering up delicious craft cocktails for everyone from the bourbon lover to the espresso martini lover (aka, me.) There is plenty of seating for smaller and bigger groups, so this is a great spot to just kick back and hang with the girls. Y’all can also head over to the Straight and Narrow for a cool, lowkey vibe. They’ve got phenomenal cocktails and a feel that screams “Galentine’s,” so book your reservation now and go have yourself a night!
