If you only make it to Elizabethtown once a year (which, btw, you should see us more in 2026. Just sayin’), it’s easy to lose track of what has changed! New food, new things to do, new places to see - there’s a lot! I’m here to give you the 4-11 on what you may have missed in the last year or so. Elizabethtown is always growing, so buckle up!

Things to do

As if Etown wasn’t already a blast before; these new additions have made it all the better! Cosmic Golf is where you will find an indoor putting course, outdoor bays, indoor simulators, bars (yes, multiple bars) and more! This is a great way to tee off your time in Elizabethtown and check out something that wasn’t around this time last year.

Etown has gained a record shop and a bookstore filled with so many treasures that you won’t find anywhere else. Birdwhistell Books and New Style Records have hit downtown, and y'all, these places are incredible. You'll find new and used books and records that fit any vibe and genre you're looking for with Kentucky favorites, classics and viral finds. You could truly spend hours here! The best part? These two shops are connected, so you can get your music and book fill all in one place.

But wait, there’s more! We’ve added a Malibu Jacks, which makes the perfect place for the kiddos to play arcade games and run around! We also heard that they’ve got an indoor rollercoaster, I mean, how cool is that!? They've got food, fun and action, this place needs to make your must-do list!

Places to eat

Elizabethtown, KY is a foodie’s dream. There is always something coming to town restaurant wise, so you should really check out our full list (right here) to get all the scoop, but here are some highlights that changed us for the better and for good (any Wicked fans?) this year!

HubHaus joined Downtown Elizabethtown back in May and is a total vibe! Here, you'll find delicious bites (get the pretzel & beer cheese, just trust me) but the cool part is the house-made brews! Y'all, they're serving up more than just beers, they've got house-made root beer and electrolyte drinks that you won't find anywhere else.

Social Food Hall has added Wasabi Bistro and StrEAT Kitchen to their rotation, and they're fitting right in! At Wasabi Bistro, you can grab sushi, ramen, egg rolls and so much more. These options are so delicious, and we hear they pair well with the tap wall! StrEAT Kitchen is the most recent addition to the Social crew and they are delivering smash burgers, truffle fries and more. What could top that?

I mean, just look at that espresso martini! Speaking of espresso, Elizabethtown has welcomed Yokefellow Coffee Roasters to the mix and they are bringing fresh coffee (like roasting-their-own-beans fresh) and fresh baked goods to town, and we're here for it! The Common Ground cold brew? Incredible.

They are bringing Buffalo style wings to Kentucky, and we thank them for it. These wings are delicious and are the perfect way to celebrate a game day. There's Del Valle and Juanito's, which are serving up delicious authentic Mexican street food, how good does that sound? Last, but certainly not least, The Local Butcher! The Local Butcher is bringing the freshest meats to Elizabethtown and delivering incredible dairy, wraps and so many more local flavors that make our mouths water.
