Second Saturday, "Light Up Downtown"
On December 10th the City will be hosting the Light Up Downtown Christmas Parade and Marketplace. The State Theater will kick off the day with Breakfast with Santa, The Brown Pusey House will host crafts and holiday gift making; and the Wicked Eyed Woman will be having lunch with Santa. The Holiday Marketplace (new this year) will open on South Main Street and feature over 40 craft vendors from noon - 8:00 p.m. The parade will kick off at St. John Road and Dixie Highway at 5:00 p.m.
Once the parade concludes, there will be the traditional reading of Twas' the Night Before Christmas by Mayor Berger; caroling by the Hardin County Playhouse; Live Nativity by St. James students; free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus; and the usual Second Saturday events taking place with downtown businesses offering shopping and vendors. The State Theater will be closing the day with a showing of the Polar Express.
