Spirits & Screams
The State Theater is excited to announce a new event for Fall 2018. Spirits and Screams is a one-time, Halloween extravaganza on Friday, October 26 at 7 p.m. Patrons will attend a screening of the 1978 horror classic, Halloween, and a spooktacular Halloween party with drinks and live music by GEMMA. Costumes are optional but strongly encouraged!
Additionally, patrons will have the option to attend the exclusive overnight portion wherein The State will screen two more horror movies, It and The Babadook, and conduct a ghost investigation with a team of professional paranormal investigators! Can you make it through the night at our infamously haunted theater? This special event will be ages 18+ only and TICKETS ARE LIMITED. Don’t miss your opportunity for some fun (and maybe some frights) at The State!
Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, September 29 at 10 a.m.

Spirits $25 ticket includes:
- Halloween party (7 p.m.)
- Screening of “Halloween.” (8:30 p.m.)
Screams $50 ticket includes:
- Halloween party (7:00pm)
- Screening of “Halloween” (8:30pm)
- PPF paranormal investigation of the theater
- Late-night screening of “It”
- Late-night screening of “The Babadook”
- Complimentary coffee & donuts following the event
- A “Spirits & Screams” t-shirt
Screams overnight tickets MUST BE PURCHASED ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 20. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting the State Theater Administrative Office (Monday through Friday 9:30 am-5 pm) in person at 209 West Dixie Avenue downtown Elizabethtown, by calling 270-234-8258, or online at www.thestate270.org.
