Hardin County Tourism Delivers Another Record-Setting Year of Economic Impact
(Hardin County, KY) June 11, 2026: Hardin County continued its upward momentum in 2025, generating $376.7 million in spending, supporting 2,647 jobs, producing $76.9 million in labor income, and contributing $30.1 million in state and local taxes. Those numbers build on 2024, when Hardin County recorded $370.7 million in spending, 2,623 jobs, $76.4 million in labor income, and $29.7 million in state and local taxes.
Kentucky’s tourism industry also posted impressive statewide gains in 2025, reaching $14.6 billion in spending, 96,993 jobs, $3.64 billion in labor income, and $1.1 billion in state and local taxes. Those results underscore the broad economic power of tourism across the Commonwealth and the important role Hardin County plays in that success.
“Hardin County’s 2025 numbers are something to be proud of,” said Krysta Souleyrette, Interim Executive Director for Elizabethtown Tourism. “Seeing spending rise from $370.7 million in 2024 to $376.7 million in 2025 reflects the continued strength of our destination, the dedication of our tourism partners, and the incredible value visitors bring to our community.”
