Fall break is upon us, and what better place to spend it than Etown? There are parks, the lake, indoor fun, mini golf and so much more.  An Etown staycation is calling, pick up the phone and find your new favorite place to visit!

Get Outside

Fall break is the best time to get outside. It’s not a million degrees (typically), it’s not freezing (again, typically. We are in KY after all) and it is just plain beautiful! The colors and sights at Freeman Lake and the Nature Park are always good, but something about fall makes them 10x better! While you’re here, you can check out programs like Your Gear Is Here, where you can rent out equipment for pickleball, tennis, fishing, golf and more.

If you have little ones, you can take them to the Oasis Playground, also located at Freeman Lake Park, where they can play the day away. The super cool thing about this playground, it’s ADA accessible and includes sensory play so everyone can join in on the fun. In addition to the Oasis Playground, Etown is home to Funtopia, located at American Legion Park! Bring the kiddos and let them slide from sun-up to sun-down all break long.

Check Out a New Activity

School breaks are the perfect chances to try out something new that’s been on your bucket-list, so why not start strong with fall break? Heartland Mini Golf and Cosmic Golf are great places for the whole family to get together and partake in some family-friendly competition. Heartland Mini Golf is classic putt-putt, mixed with yard games, food and a bar! Such a fun way to play for hours. Cosmic Golf not only has indoor golf simulators, but they are also stocked with over 30 outdoor golf bays, a putting course and, there’s more, they’ve got a bar, restaurant and an ice cream shop, so you can finish your golfing with a little treat.

If you are looking for some indoor fun, check out Xtreme Arcade and Malibu Jacks! These two places are an absolute blast for kids and adults alike and make for a great fall break day! You'll find games, prizes and get this, Malibu Jacks even has an indoor rollercoaster. These places have to make your "fall break must-do" list, I don't even get fall break anymore and they're on mine!

Explore Downtown

Etown is meant to be explored! Downtown is full of things to do, and fall break is a prime time to check it out! Start off your visit with a fun little drink at Kuddy’s Sips and Sweets (they’ve got drinks based off Taylor Swift, so, instant win) and then meander over to the Bug’s Ear for a little shopping before you start walking around and seeing what’s what. HubHaus and Social On Main are great restaurants with arcade games (and great adult brews) so everyone is sure to have a blast!
