Fall is on its way, which means it’s time for the Heartland Harvest Festival! I am going to tell you everything you need to know so you can make the most out of your fall day.
What to know
This event will take place on September 27 and will be a full day of fall fun. This all-day festival takes place downtown and will have vendors, food, games and ends with a concert from Montgomery Gentry.
How to start the day
You absolutely want to plan to spend the whole day in town for this festival. Ladies, you can kick things off with a breakfast with the Women’s Club and get your day at the festival started bright and early with great community & fun conversation. If you’re in the mood for a run, you can also tackle a 5k! I mean, what’s better than a run with gorgeous fall views? After breakfast & a run, you can take part in a fishing tournament that’ll take place at Freeman Lake, and a pickleball tournament which is fun for the whole family. If you’re feeling competitive, this is an ideal way to get into the festival spirit.

Dining
After you’ve played and fished your hearts out, it's time to keep the festival fun going and head downtown. At the Harvest Fest, you will find delicious fall treats and drinks to fuel your day! Not only are there great food vendors lining the streets, you’ll also be right Downtown, which provides the perfect opportunity to give some local spots a try.

All-Day Activity
Once you’ve checked out the food and walked around, it’s obviously time to hit up the shopping and other activities. This festival sees tons of vendors each year, so you and your fall vibes will be set and ready to go. I mean, who doesn’t love a good fall shopping spree? In addition to shopping, there are plenty of games and even a petting zoo, there really is something for everyone!

End of the Day
After you’ve checked out the games, food, shopping and good-old fall fun, it’s time to round the day out with a concert! I almost forgot to mention the best part; it is a free concert! Catch the country sounds of Montgomery Gentry and close out your festival day in the best way.

If you can’t tell, this day is jam-packed and is a quintessential fall day in Etown. I am already counting down, and I hope you are too!
