Summer is almost here, and so are some of my favorite events! There’s no better time to kick back and enjoy some Elizabethtown fun than summer, and we’ve got a lineup that just keeps getting better.
Weekly Events
Some events are so good, they just have to happen every week! I’ve got multiple weekly events to share with you that you need to put on your calendar. Trust me, you won’t want to miss them.
The Farmer’s Market – Now open! Visit the market every Wednesday and Saturday through October 31! This gem will have you stocked with local goodies, fresh produce and so much more.
Tavern In The Garden – Tavern happens every Thursday night beginning on May 28 until September 24. Y'all, this one is going to have to make your must-do list. Stop by the beautiful Cunningham Gardens at the Brown-Pusey House for a night of live music, drinks and fun!
Charles W. Logsdon Historic Downtown Walking Tour – Speaking of Thursdays, meet the Charles W. Logsdon Historic Downtown Walking Tour. Running from June 4 until September 24, take a trip through time and meet some of Elizabethtown’s greatest heroes every Thursday night. This tour begins right under the Cannonball (yes, an actual cannonball in the wall) at 45 Public Square!
Movies & Music
This summer at The State Theater, they're doing a Summer of Adventure movie series! Every Tuesday from June 2 until July 28, The State will be showing kids movies at 11am and 7pm, for just $1! This is such a fun way to spend a summer day and will bring your vibes from good to great. As if the movies weren't enough, the State is always showing up with movies and concerts. From films like our very own “Elizabethtown” to concerts that pay tributes to greats like Michael Jackson, there's something for everyone in your crew. New shows are always being added, so keep your eyes peeled!
In Harmony Concert – The Louisville Orchestra is back at the Freeman Lake Bandstand! June 26, head over to the lake for familiar tunes from classical pieces to classics by John Williams.
Little Blue House Concert Series – The Little Blue House Concert Series is bringing live music & good vibes. Enjoy a different concert each month from May until September in an intimate setting.
More Fun
The Tempest - Shakespeare is coming to Etown on May 22! Shakespeare In The Park will be heading to Freeman Lake to give a free performance of The Tempest, and this is something you do not want to miss.
Cruisin’ The Heartland – Three days of classic Elizabethtown fun! Cruisin’ is a weekend full of cars, music, movies and top tier memories. Mark your calendars for July 30-August 1 and get ready to have the best weekend ever.

Heartland Parade - Who doesn't love a good parade? The Heartland Parade is heading through town on August 22, and we're already getting excited! This year, the theme is "Party in the USA" to celebrate America 250, and it's going to be a good one. Such a classic & can't-miss Etown event.
The beauty of Elizabethtown events is that there is always more coming! Be sure to check back here on the reg for more summer events. Let us know what you attend at #touretown. Can't wait to see you!
