There is simply nothing like spending spring in Elizabethtown, KY! The flowers are blooming, the weather is warming up, and our town is coming to life. I am here to give you an itinerary for the ideal weekend that’ll allow you to slow down and take it all in, the Etown way!

Night 1

Welcome to Elizabethtown! There is only one proper way to kick off your weekend in Elizabethtown, and that’s trying out one of our incredible dining options. When it gets warm, there is nothing I want to do more than kick back on a patio with good food and a good drink, and HubHaus is just the place for that.

HubHaus is a local gem that is serving up fun, delicious food, and brews made in-house (including homemade electrolytes and root beer, they have it all, y’all!) Of course, the food and drinks are great, but what makes this spot stand out is their lovely outdoor patio area. Outside, you’ll find plenty of seating and yard games for you and the whole family to enjoy. This spot will kick your trip off in the right way!

They’ve got craft sodas on deck, or you can get creative and come up with your own concoction. In addition to the sips, they've got baked goodies and ice cream. Talk about an epic sweet-treat-o'clock!

Day 2

Morning

Rise and shine, y’all! It’s day 2 of your weekend in Elizabethtown! You obviously have to kick start your day with breakfast, I mean, they don’t call it the most important meal of the day for nothing, right? To get your day off to a strong start, head over to Bean Cove. They're serving up delicious coffees & breakfast options that'll have you ready to take on anything and everything Elizabethtown sends your way.

After you've enjoyed your breakfast, it's time to head on a little adventure. Lucky for you, Bean Cove is located near Freeman Lake Park, making it a great way to continue your visit. Here, you'll be able to get into all sorts of adventures. Stop by the park office for different things like fishing gear, tennis and pickleball equipment, disc golf and more if you're in the mood to play for a bit.

While at the lake, it's crucial that you check out the beautiful trails! With over 4 miles of trail, you'll have the prime opportunity to soak in the atmosphere and see why our trails are worth writing home over.

History comes to life at Freeman Lake, so it is only fitting that you wrap your visit to the lake with a little lesson. You'll find our One-Room Schoolhouse, the Sarah Bush Johnston Log Cabin and the Lincoln Heritage House, all in one spot!

Swope's Cars of Yesteryear is a gem in Etown that is waiting to be discovered. This free museum is filled with vintage cars galore, even the non-car lovers in your crew will be amazed!

Afternoon

Alright y'all, it's time for a late lunch at a local favorite! Laker On Dixie is giving all the classic diner vibes with burgers, fries and of course, the most important part (in my professional opinion), delicious malts and milkshakes. All of their options are so good, but, if I had to go and pick one thing from the menu, it would be the corn fritters. They're salty, sweet, crispy and come with a chili sauce that is just *chef's kiss*.

After wrapping up at Laker On Dixie, it's time for an afternoon of fun! Tee up on a great time at Heartland Mini Golf. The vibes here are immaculate and create fun for the whole family. Even if you aren't professional tournament ready, this stop will be sure to make your "new favorite memory" list.

Nighttime

Once you've played some golf, gotten some rest and recharged a bit, it's time to hit the town! Dinner at Impellizzeri's is going to be a crowd pleaser for sure. Another local classic, Impellizzeri's is dishing up pizzas, pastas, meatballs, salads and so much more, you'll have to plan another visit to explore the whole menu.

It's time for a night cap, and I have a good one for y'all. The Straight & Narrow is all about good cocktails and good vibes. This spot is the perfect way to round out your night and is the ideal spot for incredible conversations and even better memories. Here's a pro tip, go for the espresso tequini and thank me later!

The Final Day

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. But not so early! Your final day in town can still be jam-packed with activity.

For a little brunch action, head over to the Toasted Yolk. Here you can find anything under the sun from breakfast items to lunch items to mimosas and mocktails... I really mean everything. This is a great spot to debrief the trip so far and to get excited for the morning ahead!

Once you've brunched, let's go to Mud Puddle Pottery Co! Mud Puddle is an adorable spot where you can glaze your own pottery and make the cutest little souvenir! Need a new vase? You can make one there. Need a personal gift? You're all set. Happen to need a ceramic dragonhead? Yep, they have that too. Such a fun way to wind down your trip!

After you've gotten a little crafty, no trip is complete without a shopping spree. Downtown is filled with shops for any type of person in your group from the plant lover to the fashionista. Such a fun way to round out a great trip!
