FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Frankfort, Ky. October 1, 2013 - The Kentucky Travel Industry Association (K.T.I.A.) selected Elizabethtown's Christmas in the Park as part of their 2013 Winter/Holiday Top 10 Festivals and Events.

The Christmas season arrives in Elizabethtown on November 27 when Freeman Lake Park is set aglow with more than a million lights the night before Thanksgiving.

The community sets up more than 100 displays to welcome holiday guests to their town - at NO charge! Car loads of visitors travel the 1.5 mile route around the lake while listening to holiday music on their car radio. If you haven't experienced this event yet, don't miss the opportunity! This event ends January 1, 2014.

A panel of impartial judges selects the K.T.I.A. Top 10 Festivals and Events for each season. Criteria for selection includes popularity of the event, its impact on the local tourism economy, as well as cultural and historical significance.

The Kentucky Travel Industry Association is a 900+ member statewide association representing all sectors of the state's tourism and travel industry. As the voice for the travel industry, K.T.I.A. is committed to promoting and strengthening the common objectives of our travel partners.
