2017 Events Schedule Released for City of Elizabethtown
(Elizabethtown, Ky.--March 16, 2017) The City of Elizabethtown and Tourism and Convention Bureau are excited to announce the 2017 schedule of events.
New for the 2017 events year include the first annual Toast to Kentucky, Elizabethtown’s Premier Wine Festival September 23rd and various concerts in partnership with the Historic State Theater sponsored by Fort Knox Federal Credit Union.
The first concert in partnership with the Historic State Theater was the sold out Wynonna and the Big Noise that was announced in January. The City will be working alongside the Theater to assist in marketing, ticket fees, and logistics. The second concert will be Delbert McClinton on August 19th. Ticket information will be released at a later date. The third concert will be announced after April 9th. The City also hopes to be hosting a Christmas event in December and information will be released as soon as possible.
“We hope to continue the foot traffic at the State Theater as it increases momentum for our downtown,” said Mayor Edna Berger. “The City and Theater plan to partner on more shows in the future. We will be doing our best to provide variety in our bookings to reach a broader demographic. We’re already working on shows for 2018 and we can’t wait to show everyone what we have in store.”
President and CEO of Fort Knox Federal Credit Union Ray Springsteen echoed the Mayor's comments with, "As the primary concert series sponsor, Fort Knox Federal is delighted to help bring such outstanding national performers to our community."
Fort Knox Federal Credit Union has partnered with the City of Elizabethtown and Elizabethtown Tourism to bring four different concert and events to the State Theater. Sponsorship dollars will be used to provide additional funding for the expenses in conjunction with each event. Fort Knox Federal Credit Union was one of the primary sponsors on the annual City concert for the past several years. The partnership is one that the City and Elizabethtown Tourism sincerely appreciates and needs in order to continue providing events for the community.
